(Dedicated to Bee) ROSSCARBERY Together, clasped, we stood on the gentle headland. In sweet still silence Oasis of warmth South-sheltered sanctuary From the bittered wind. Watched our angels spill pure white-light Scattered playfully from a windowed heaven To bright-sparkled ocean Love dazzled-dancing. Cherished sweetheart our precious time. Sweet serenity smiling Flashed sunshine to you In goodness, golden. Warmed breath of you shaped calm with words Filled soft beauty To full-smiling sails. |

You took me by the hand onto cliff's top passionate sea gagnets, master of arts flying away with our sorrow fearless, elegant, unique So graceful in their optimism... |

Wheeling high, high-flying gannets soar in chilled silence Etched lonely by calls echoed into the emptiness Dampened into darkness. But yet bearing a promise Secretly knowing Beautifully forging their path pointed by the wisdom of a thirsty thousand years. Guided by orange embers fanned into white into a fire of life, by a love that will not die. |
