Dragging myself around the living room
doing mundane chores
picking up after others
I thought there must be more

There's never enough money
for the things I think i need
I try to separate the difference
between ego and greed

then like magic.. the answer came to me
I want to be rich but I want to do what i love!
then I realized if I do number two
I've already accomplished number one!
**** epilogue>>>

amazing how something just thumps you on the head like that... i had to run over to the computer to see if anyone agrees........ (smile)
p.s. sometimes i surprise myself.. when I think I can never have another original thought.. one drops out of heaven.... and puts me in my place.

We, who are the writers, are truly the richest people on earth!

redwriter1 - we are truly the richest people on earth. If just one, would read what we write and can take something away, to help them smile, or ease a little pain, we are truly rich. I liked your writing.

Anyone who takes the time to write their thoughts, no matter how menial it may seem at the time, and places it away for later review, realizes down the road...just how they got to where they are...

knowing why you made the trip is one of the best fortunes found...

"We, who are the writers, are truly the richest people on earth!"

Yes, we are and may we continue to be. Thank you, Lady Poet and Songwriter, for this reminder. We are rich!

To be able to touch someone through my words makes me the richest woman by far. Nice writing, I enjoyed your poem. Kate
