“WHAT I NEED TO DO” by Bill Charles ~~~~ I wanted to change things, but it didn’t seem to work, perhaps it’s all this togetherness, wonder if it’s a quirk… Why can’t things be calm, instead of many harsh words, coming out when we speak, piercing, like so many swords… I truly believe I’ve tried, to make things the very best, but we never seem to be able to speak, to each other, without words of protest… A question when I ask, is only a question returned, all of these head games, I only seem to get burned… So a decision I’m making, right from my heart, if we can’t live together, hell, so let’s be apart… No more arguments, and no more of this fussing, I won’t even do anymore of, this damn cussing… You can go your way, and I’ll head right out of state, and won’t be looking just yet, don’t need another mate… Want to smile, mend my heart, find some serenity, will this pain ever find it, maybe somewhere….., in eternity… ~~~~ |

Sometimes it is better to cut our losses, I guess. I related to this very much. And you wrote the feeling of it all so well. So sadly. So sorry. |

I think we can all relate to this at one time or another. The pain will go and healing will come, time is the key. Very well thought out and written. |

Life is too short to live with fussing and cussing. Go find the serenity you desire. Just remember we have a serenity here at Passions. [This message has been edited by inot2B (edited 03-24-2001).] |

Bill, Whatever you do, stay close to Passions, wherever that may be; whether it's here, or on a lake fishing for bass, wherever. Stay close...and keep sharing. Bob |

JLR - I agree with you that it is better at times to cut the losses. Thank you for your most kind words. ForwardSearching - I have found that there are many that are in the same place as this writing. And I agree, time will heal all wounds. Thanks for coming by, and for your kind words. inot2B - I did find after much soul searching that life is to short to fuss and cuss. Serenity is out there, I have found it once, and I know that it exists. I will find it again. And I am familiar that serenity is at Passions. RMW - I will stay close to Passions. Have met some wonderful people here, and will stay close. And I will keep sharing my heart with everyone that would read what I write. Thank you for stopping by, I do appreciate it. |

BC.. I can so relate to this poem. After awhile one has to think of other ways to stay serene. I enjoyed your poem. Kate Genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood. |

Yes Bill I have found myself in a place where I didn't really want to be...after a while you can just take no more...it took some time to end the relationship...James |

"To have felt not pain, is to have loved not well." So sayeth the classical master bard. "I am not now that which I have been." |
