“STARVING POET” by Bill Charles ~~~~ I’ve been a starving poet, yet I continue to write, all of these tender, lovely words, for it is my plight… I write words of love, beauty, softness, and such, as my heart aches for you, and it does, so very much… Sometimes I write about fun, and perhaps other things, but when you’re involved, I have these hidden cravings… I want to write about you, and your many special ways, that makes me feel today, like all of those yesterdays… My poetry I follow by candlelight, as words are written, of many tender thoughts, and ones of your description… But the question I ask is, “Will I ever stop my pen, from saying all these things, knowing, that I want you again”… So I answer this question, without too much ado, I’ll gladly be a “Starving Poet”, only because, I write about you… ~~~~ |

These pens have a mind of their own, don't they? In my case it's my keyboard, but that doesn't sound as romantic as your pen. Joyce |

RMW - Glad that I could help you wind down your day. It's a pleasure to see your reply. nakdthoughts - sometimes I also wonder whom I am writing about. Nice to see you. Poet deVine - yes it is love that is needed, perhaps most of all. Thanks for coming by. Joyce Johnson - my pen seems to have a mind of its own at times. I watch it write sometimes, and not sure what it is doing! Thanks for the kind reply. Oh, I also have a keyboard that I'm learning, also play at the guitar. VAS - but is that someone special only in my mind? Maybe. Just A Woman - thank you for coming by and for your reply. I appreciate it. Rosebud1229 - a'hhh, I hope that my pen writes as they are lowing me to you know where. And yes, perhaps some of the words I write would fill a lonely heart. |

I think every poet is a starving poet they starve to describe the point they wish to make wiether it is about a love they have that is so great or wiether to make a sad person smile we are all starving to describe what we feel or describe it in such away to make someone else feel... You starve to create the love you feel in words but the words will never mean as much as that love so you will be a starving poet for your life... That is why i love to write for the off chance that what i write will have an effect. This is a great poem beautiful and true...

Sven - always a pleasure to hear from you. Thanks once again for coming by. Voiceless - thank you for your most gracious reply to this writing. I love your words, and they are so true. And I do believe that every poet is starving, and expresses it in writing. Thank you again. |

Bill, what a great poem! Whether I ever make a dime on anything I've written, all of my words come from a heart that offers love freely, for this is how love is supposed to be. Keep writing of your love, it touches people. Me, for instance. Kate Genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood. |

Some where between light and dark, lies a poet with words to share. "I am not now that which I have been." |
