Perimeters

Tender tinder feeds the flame…lighting the center of my aim
And shallow shadows compromise…the perimeters of the size.
I horde this very precious time…the loss of which would be a crime.
And swell the coffers of my mind…with all the fragile of its kind.

The memories dawn me crystal clear…as risings from the mist appear.
Gossamer in their weight and feel…but wondrous in their real reveals
They clothe me in their silken thread…Warm me like the warmth of bed.
Touch me soft like velvet gloves…speak to me of glowing love.

They light the darkness of my pine…bright the time of cold confine.
Hang mistletoe for hungry lips…add honey for my mind to sip.
They are my ghosts of yesterday…the phantoms of my mind at play.
The good that grows the soil of true…the essence of the love of you.

Cherry blossoms of my season…giving life a rhyme and reason
Fantasies of hopes displayed…a shining light to light my way.
Gleaning into the evermore…a dream for me to hold and store
An Eden for my final rests…an answer to the manifest.

A key and candle to my goal…a door to enter for my soul.

No perimeters exist when thee writes ... thou words thy wings for taking flight.
Pen of gold with which to recite ... capable of slowing time and bending light.
Infinity and destiny ... thy verse and rhyme holds truth of wisdom's key.
When thou bestows thy gifts of poetry ... Eden sighs and butterflies are set free.

love you for this one Sy-babes

Seymour,

"....a key and candle.." Two of life's more valuable tools. Lovely expression.

ST, I thoroughly enjoyed this piece. For your purposes tho, I noticed a typo in verse 1-lose s/b loss and in verse 2 -2nd line there s/b their and I got lost as to what you are saying in the 2nd part of line 2 same verse 'there real' ? I have either read it incorrectly or something seems like it is missing or maybe mispelled with a typo. Could you help me with that?

They are the only spots I had some trouble with - otherwise I thought this was a good piece and my first thought after reading it was WTG - way to go- so I'm hooked. Will try to check out your other works soon. Thanks for this one.

Dear Tinkerbell,
You are the wellspring of my care. And a friend beyond compare. And Randy's blowing smoke above. Toasting you his love.

"I horde this very precious time…the loss of which would be a crime."

In a beautiful poem, this line kept begging my attention... If we remembered without fail to horde those precious times that are so fleeting and can't be replaced, we'd really be redefining our perimeters, wouldn't we... as we expanded our hearts? *S* Well done, Seymour! (And my apologies for the philosophy. *G*)
