The bleeding heart flower Like a pendulum it swings From a terracotta pot Such beauty does it bring The gardenia's waxy flowers So sensual they are to touch With a fragrance, oh so heavenly I just can't get enough My tree fern leaves Arch out like arms As they catch the wind And all its charms The leaves are like feathers Yet not quite as light As they dance and they sway In the sunlight, so bright The parrots come to dine On the feast before their eyes In my apple tree they gorge Before they take wing and fly At my feet there stands an angel Bringing peace and tranquility As he welcomes those who visit Giving much joy and harmony He's the keeper of my garden Such a beautiful figure is he Bringing smiles to all who see him And especially to me I have two pink climbing roses That reach out for the sky The jasmine and wisteria One look and you can't help but sigh At such beauty taking place In my garden by the door There is nothing here that money can buy How could I ask for more? Ah another green thumber! That was just lovely, and I could almost smell the jasmine and wisteria, which are my absolute favorite. You did an excellent job of describing the serenity one feels in a garden setting. Kudos! |
