The Night Should Be Still Is it possible to rest lying here beneath this sky Yet somehow find the words you will never hear There's something about these four walls that surround me And, it's familiarity of my pillow catching nighttime's tears... I search my mind for why life has taken you away There's no answer I care enough to let you go There's always good-bye, My Friend, but I don't want to lose the moon Our way, our light, to all I have ever known... There shouldn't be rain unless it's gentle and mild Nothing pouring to the rhythm of my sad heart The night should be still as the new day at dawn And, nothing should be strong enough to keep us apart... The night should be anything but lonely for me For that's where I find freedom inside You've taken my will to fly higher than ever before To an unknown path where sadness never dies... Oh, the night should be still for mile after mile But, my feet are worn through this endless search for you I can look no more, I've lost all you have promised I'll never know what it's like now to soar all night through... So, when you took my nights, you took all that I own For now, I haven't a place to even call home You have every dream I have ever held onto within And, Oh, I'll never know the night to be still again... Sauni, you can already write like that. . . This is wonderful. . . ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

This is filled with hope still...or it wouldn't have been written. Never give up, what is meant to be, will be. I related to this so much! |
