Recite the words

Recite the words I know will turn
a moment into days.
Breathe life into the heart and mind
to lift this leaden haze.

Wrap starlight 'round that it may heal,
stir memories that hide.
Bring hands to once again know touch
and dry the tears I've cried.

Massage this grieving heart that it
find reason to have hope
and not be lost in weariness,
each day and night to grope.

"Love is space and time measured by the heart"
