There’s a shadow in your wake Unseen fingers choose and take Nothing proven nothing sworn But from your path an evil born Depravity rides on your wings Pride in all our earthly things Sprinkle dust of gluttony On my greed for all that’s free Fury is the fulfillment of my soul Through your gift of short-term goal You ride a steed and throw us gold It turns to copper in our fold I watch you walk but not away How my eye is led astray All together we shout in vain You come again and take the pain There’s a beauty in your wake When you pass my heart will ache All is seen for all is shone You are all I’ve ever known Purity on your snow-white wings A serene beauty thusly brings Sprinkle dust of works on earth Find that a cross has all that's worth Contentment fills my healthy soul Through a gift that makes me whole A white horse throws me streets of gold The promise weathers just as told I watch you walk but not away How my eye is led astray All together we shout in pain We never shared what we gained [This message has been edited by wayoutwalt (edited 03-21-2001).] |

I watch you walk but not away How my eye is led astray All together we shout in pain We never shared what we gained making me ~sigh~ wistfully, Walt ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |
