 Do you ever wonder why... When things are going well, we try, to find a way to bring it to an end? If all is peace and harmony, and all is going splendidly, it’s time to stir dem bones up, once again! They’re stuck away, behind the door... (When we don’t need them, anymore)... They much prefer the dark to honest light... But now and then we set them free... Old skeletons for all to see... And rattle them to help us win a fight... Now, you have yours... And I have mine... But, in an argument, I find that somehow they get mixed up, at the start... You stand there rattling mine at me... And I shake yours, so you can see, that we’re both armed, while breaking both our hearts... It’s not a pleasant sound to hear... Dem bones are grating to the ear... So next time we are headed for a fight... Let’s throw away that closet key... Keep skeletons where they should be... And... If you’re willing?... Let’s make love all night! Live...Love...Be grateful for both!! |

I could very much relate...I am my own worst enemy...love the title...I am so guilty of this very thing! You managed to touch on something in me with this---when we have "issues" with someone else--it's not just "their problem" it's also ours. I liked the open self evaluation of this. Thanks. |

Funny one Sunny one! Totally enjoyed! The title inspired me to a shorty that I'll post in a bit. It's a contrast, well no, just different from this one's focus. This was wonderful. In fact I uttered delightful laughter when I read that last line. Smooth flow to this, save for two spots that perhaps stood for shaking up dem bones.  |

serenity... Yes..I think as human beings we are all guilty of some bone-rattling now and then!! I'm glad to know that you liked it!!!! Poet deVine... How many times have I spoken in anger and then actually heard those words coming out of my mouth! They grated, just like bones!! Thank you!! (it's ok to steal the graphic!!) VAS... Yep, ya just gotta have a couple of scraping spots to feel those bones!!! Thank you, and I am looking for yours now!!! Michael... Oh so good to see you here, my friend!!
