The Best of Each by Michael Auguste At night we talked beneath the stars And listened to train whistles blow While crickets in the darkness chirped Too soon, it seemed, she had to go That dew could trap her laughter's ring Would be my hope if it were true And hold her voice that I might hear So once again we might be two I still remember her sweet touch And how we held each other tight How we both dared the sun to rise To steal from us this starry night While passion rose to find its place I kissed her eyes, then sought her lips I felt the blush rise to her face As I placed hands upon her hips But all too soon she had to leave There really was no other way I went inside and sat awhile Discovered that it now was day Sometimes two hearts can beat in sync And fate can often be unfair But still we have the best of each The honest, tender words we share Proust- |

(sigh) Yes, sometimes love can have it's unfortunate and times of sorrow, but the sweet memoriesa and blessings will always leave our hearts to sing in rapture. May true love forever flourish in your heart! You have such a beautiful heart, dear friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Lovingly written yet containing a longing and some regret. I dare the heart to meet these words, and not find similar feelings. A very universal write. "I am not now that which I have been." |

Greeneyes, When the person you are writing about is real, the words come easily. I do so appreciate you nice words, sweet friend. Thank you. Michael Proust- |
