It finally arrived after all these years I've waited for this for ever and ever You can see it in my reflection in the mirror The look of me content after forever I have reached my Golden Years at last I am basking in the feeling of accomplishment The worry of making it now in the past So now let's see what time has sent Now when I need help getting out of a chair And my knees pain with the weather change My back gets a catch if I don't move with care I finally have a name and reason for this thing I have made it to the good old Golden Years And if I look around my friends are here too We really all have become our own peers For hurrying to this place I was a fool I can't believe this is the Golden Years The dream was never like this All the time I wasted getting myself here I got it, now what do I do with the wish! |

LOL....hmmmm those wishes aren't all they are made out to be are they...but atleast you made it past midnight feedings and colic  You are pure gold to me mom! You can swim in the waves of the weave...without sinking into the mind of the weaver~ |

MotherEarth~ LOL ! You go out and dance in the rain !  Make a mud-pie and toss it at someone you love. Make a mud-pie and toss it at someone you don't love !  Walk through the mall singing !  Dye your hair blue !  They will all just figure you've lost it ! And you can blame it on carrying around all that GOLD !  Look behind you often - and make faces back at them ! BDC: my kid, a good thing gold doesn't tarnish! I still wish, but am more careful! Marge: I love your ideas! Will have to try them out..... drunk or sober? Oh, who cares. Like my mother-in-law said, " I never expected to live this long!" Who did? Hugs, ME |
