Canvas of my Mind

A painter paints a phantom ghost
It is a fantasy at most.

I’ve painted many a picture blind
With only the brushes of my mind
With only those colors and fertile hues
With only a palette mix of you.

I’ve painted those murals in the dark
With willing spark in my hidden park
With splashes of dew, mist of the morn
From blackest night, till dancing of dawn.

I’ve stolen colors from butterflies
Dipped them in love and painted my sighs.
A canvas of awe, flooded in star
My radar of you, my wish from afar.

And now as I stand and look at its view
I melt with its beauty of mist and dew.
I rub at my eyes this wonder of sigh
Its labile implies, its fragile demise.

To think it will never hang or show
To that person, only I would know.

Filled with mysterious romance, the picture you paint is really beautiful.
