the color of your presence brightens my eyes...
simply realizing you are near breaks my defense...
mere minutes it would take to sever all ties
with memories of life spent on that side of the fence.

living in your eyes, all is undeniably right...
each day’s rhyme flows with perfect cadence.
I’m not sure how, but just skies of blue remain in sight...
from this moment, fulfillment of our vows shall commence.

I’d all but lost my faith in human nature...
finding love was a concept I’d long left behind.
but, you appeared amidst the storm, offering the cure,
what I required to pull through a fate so unkind.

so, as long as this pen lies in my heart...
until the river stops flowing from my soul...
even when the first day after my last breath should start...
you’ll be the one that will keep my spirit whole.

-kh 03/17/01

do I believe we'd be better off apart?
can I see my world without you in it?
baby, not for a single minute...

I think you beautifully describe how Love can transform us in miraculous ways...touching and tender...pregnant with Hope!

very cool write and perfect cadence..
and I see by that last verse...
you and I are thinking along the same lines
Great minds think alike?
well done poetess..
nice to see you back with pen of anticipation in hand.

We wish ourselves beautiful,
we cry in the night.
Its not the love you fear ...
its the fall from the height.

sp, you continue to amaze me with the way that your words just come from your heart. . .

this is no exception. . . excellent. . .

The quill stuck in the heart tickles the fancy and pours out passion equalled only by the moon encircled softly in lavendar glow.

This was very beautiful and you are very lucky to have found it. Well done.

I've tried to hide my passion,
