Last night I dreamed that I was loved. A life filled to the brim. Awake I know that all I have Are memories of him. We make our choices when we're young. Not wise enough. We face those choices when we're old. Not young enough. If I could turn my life around, Retrieve those pleasures that I found And threw away. It wouldn't take me very long To leave this life without a song. I'd leave today. Joyce July/2000 |

I applaud. You've captured this so well. I suppose when we are young we do not think enough with our hearts. A wonderful lesson you've shared. "When people show you who they are, believe them" |

Tough to get reality to live up to our dreams, especially those that have been around awhile. Like the way you expressed this, Joyce. |

Echoing Krawdad ~ I enjoyed your expression of reflection. Thanks for it. Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

I could not agree more, Joyce. Great description of that feeling. Sandra |

Good poem Joyce. Choices seem to dwell in hindsight don't they? Betty Lou Hebert |
