I remember with intimate joy
Passion's lust-filled thoughts
That burst forth into new life,
When viewing a flower, so moist,
With just a hint of spring's dew.

Buds opened as vibrant blossoms,
Inviting immediate attention,
Craving the deepest penetration.
An evolution so very compelling,
It enters the swollen, lush flower.

Love comes in soft, generous petals,
As spring's first rain of sweet nectar
Slowly opens to multiple blossoms,
Transcending any other spring
This flower has ever known.

Genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood.
T S Eliot

I liked the darn thing, but when are you going to send a bit of spring my way? I'm a bit tired of the rain..

Julian, spring will be a little late this year in Washington, but I'm sure 'tis always springtime in your heart. Thanks for stopping by and reading.. Kate

wonderful use of comparisons of spring's gifts and the passion of the emotions.
lovely imagery as well.
very well written poetess.

We wish ourselves beautiful,
we cry in the night.
Its not the love you fear ...
its the fall from the height.

My goodness! This was so lovely, the use of words and similes to the sweet buds of Spring, your heart shows signs of Springtime and oh, but it suits you.
