I have a friend I wouldn't know
did I see her passing by.
I think our souls have met before
somewhere beyond the sky.
She may be dark, she may be light
or of any exotic race.
When two souls have connected,
who needs to see a face?
Methinks I know her better,
from her sweet poetry,
than if she lived in the house next door
and we met each day for tea.

Wow!!!! You put it in words that say it so well. I know and care about more people here that I've never met in person than on the outside.

I can relate to your poem. One of my best friends I have never met face to face, and I am thankful everyday for her.

Joyce~
This is precious !

There lives upland
oh, so very far from me ...
one who holds
the key to me ...
we've met upon the great beyond
and our friendship
has held on ...
He is the keeper of my soul
and inspires me with his love -
Though we walk in the screen on earth
we've shared mocassin footprints up above.
For we both know we've walked before
and we will again ...
in the land that knows no boundary
I'll see again - my friend.

You have inspired such longing
to touch that face of encouragement ...
I love a piece that touches my heart ...
yours has done just that.
*Hugs*

Joyce: This is lovely and I hope your friend gets to read it. I have a friend too, who is a poet and we've never met, except on the Internet, but it's a special friendship just the same.
