My days pass, like waves |

My days pass, like waves on the ocean's currents. My nights, make a trail, like turtles on the sand. My virtues, evaporate in the wind, forcing the darkness to the surface. I cannot mask my face. Bitterness, replaces tenderness. Hate covers love, with its plastic blanket. Impurities, seal my words. While I wait, quietly by the edge of a mountain, looking at the beauty behind me, and at the bottom of the cliff before me. I stare blank, at the sky waiting for a sign. A bird flies towards me, it has no eyes, but he is free. My days pass, like the waves on the ocean's currents. Prematurely, I've tasted the water, I spit vile into the sea. No life can now exist. I hold my chest, to cover the scream, the one no one will hear. Nothing moves inside of me. My breathing, becomes polluted. Dark clouds surround me. Cold drops of rain, trail down in buckets to the waves, lessening my days, and prolonging my nights. A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes. |

at the sky waiting for a sign. A bird flies towards me, it has no eyes, but he is free." You don't need to see a sign to be free. Just believe in yourself and you'll see the beauty in the dark. |

Walker, this fairly screams with pain. I hope you are ok. You sure have portrayed this feeling well, I have been there, still visit periodically. Take care. Sandra |
