My sister took piano when she was twelve and I was six. On quiet Sunday mornings, while the house slept in silent seclusion, she would float on muted feet to the elderly upright that stood in mother's parlor, and practice Fur Elise with a soothing, hushed intensity. I would sit still and small in the faraway corner, eating grapes off the wallpaper in solemn contentment. |

I remember that wall paper. It was in an old two story house where I lived for a short time as a child. Yes, I would sit and imagine picking grapes and eating them. |
