Do you see what i see?

I looked up at the sky today
the clouds drift by in such a way
feels like I'm sailing

I wonder if you see them to
do you see things the way I do
and name them

Like the fields of frosted mini-wheats
the farmers stack in winter
and rainbows that the cars
leave in the driveway

The sugar coated cornflakes
masquarading as frozen leaves of fall
"cus i see it all

I looked down from the 7th floor
the matchbox cars all in a row
I wondered what they hurry for

Like silent private backyard shows
the fireflies are on their toes
trying to find the perfect mate for life

You wonder if you're looking in
or just a part of life and then
you wonder if you've seen it all
