The fog lies low in my valley; bearing so hard on my soul. I'm losing my way, in this cobweb of gray; a fly in an upside down bowl. I try climbing high into brightness; reaching for holds that aren't there. Bewildered, befuddled, on the floor I am huddled; needing to breathe lighter air. Burdened by the fog of my spirit, hiding from spectors that loom. Recoiling in fear, the unknown so near, This darkness the gray of my tomb. He, my true reason for living has gone, and with him my worth. Remembering the tomb that was my mother's womb, my spirit awaits a re-birth. Joyce 2000 |

Dear Joyce: Perhaps rebirth will be kindled when you can get out and work in your garden again. I hope so! Betty Lou Hebert |
