It's the sharing of promise that's never complete
while these busiest hands mark the passage of time
It's lament over loss , tinged with memories sweet
lost somewhere in between the surreal and sublime

This prison of limbo which has no need for walls
not in past present or future tense
yet confines e'er more tightly , increasingly small
as what lay beyond one comes to sense

For the thirst it grows constant from that moment on
manifesting itself in such ways
that the scales are tipped , precious balance is gone
as it's pull more than all else outweighs

It's cold realization that familiar things
yield no warmth when assumed a birth-right
and the search for a bridge , the connecting of two
seen in this ever changing new light

I am not sure if I am catching the drift of the message, but indeed there is a message in here....so I will mark it to come back for a re-read...

Doc, so often our connecting bridges are discovered quite by accident and grace. Thank you for this delectation. (o:

How apt. Sigh. Sometimes I think? maybe burning bridges isn't such a bad idea. Maybe I'd quit traveling backward! Thanks for the think, doc!

Dr,
A good book sometimes helps. Enjoyed the read.

Sunshine,
Writing has caused me to re-define my relationships , affecting the way I view
almost everything . Some of that was what
I was trying to capture here . Thanks
Doc

Claire ,
Thank you , it's always a pleasure .
Doc

serenity ,
Lol, it's surprising what you'll bump into when you're walking backwards , but sometimes it's not a bad thing . Thanks
Doc

Sy ,
You're right about that , but I'd have to find the time to read it , instead of just looking at the pictures . Thanks
Doc
