(light country)

Girl it's six in the morning
daybreak dawning
and deep down but not destroyed
I'm a shadow of a love you knew
inside a ring of fire and youth
on a river of dreams passing through.

Goodnight Mr. Moon
somewhere I used to be
I see you smiling at me.
Good morning Mr. Day
I know it's time again
to be on my way
with my world in your eyes
I just can't stay.

Girl it's about where we've been
talkin chin to chin
and all the things that matter
are in the love and truth we knew
inside a ring of fire and youth
on a river of dreams passing through.

Goodnight Mr.Love
somewhere I used to be
keeps you inside of me.
Good morning Mr. Day
I know it's time again
to be on my way
with my world in your eyes
I just can't stay.

I wrote the words/lyrics to this song a couple of years ago and finally found
Mike McCaslin to colllaborate with me and put it to music. As a result the
following can be heard at mp3 by going to mp3 and typing in the name michael mccaslin or the title of the song

I don't ever write country music but this composer wanted it to be that way and he seemed quite anxious to do the song...as a result I'm not quite as pleased with the results as a country listener would be. You'll see my name mentioned in the credits there...thanks for listening!

Yes!
I write a lot of songs to do onstage, and this one does have a country flair. I'm on my way to take a listen.......

Bravo ... applause, applause! Oh I'm so glad I didn't miss this Eric! I downloaded the Ferris Wheel one at first and wondered why nothing was matching, LOL. I finally downloaded the right one, and read along your words with the singer ... this is soooooo exciting! I just love it when poetry is placed to music. It's so amazing to me when words come together for poets, and yet to hear them placed to music ... it simply sweetens it to an even higher level.

Congratulations ... the poetry itself is wonderful, and it was my pleasure to hear it sung! Wonderful!

Best wishes,
/Kit
