I may never cross mossy moors on foot or upon graceful steed, or see waves of amethyst meadows in fullness before going to seed; nor witness day’s end into night, in liquid gems of golden green, or dance in the clan tradition in the land of in-between. But I am nevertheless claimed by the Isle of an olden past, though this lifetime has been spent in a place of bitter contrast; the fire, it burns brighter within the Gaelic core, as though our souls carry an infinite gift for more. © 2001 Corinne Bailey |

Oh My God, I am utterly taken back by this. I wish my grandmother was here to read this, we'd both be dancin' a jig. God love your heart. Kathleen Blake "When red-haired girls scamper like roses over the rain-green grass, and the sun drips honey." Laurie Lee |

A wonderfully expressed sentiment, Corinne. We rovers dwell far and wide, but know well that infinite gift for more. Erin go braugh. Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau [This message has been edited by Meadowmuse (edited 03-13-2001).] |

This expresses so well the tie to Ireland that most of us who are Irish or part Irish, have, even when we've never been there. Only in our dreams! Really nice! Betty Lou Hebert |
