In dreams
I took your hand gently
A mixture of mischief and sweet love sparkling in my eyes
I led you out into the rain
and danced with you
Singing sweetly offkey in your ear
while you laughed and
smiled down at me
with such tender love
My fingertip traced your cheekbone
Blinking back tears of such joy
my lips brushed yours lightly
I loved you so

In reality
I see the rain and slowly step outside
Close my eyes and
Feel the pain
washing over me with the rain
I swallow hard and I
dance
awkwardly at first
Singing just a little offkey
and soon am swept into the moment
into the rain and the wind
I dance alone
and I smile
as I heal

After years of searching, I have found I am nothing more, nothing less...I am in truth Just A Woman after all.

Just A Woman - take my hand, for I will dance with you, and listen to you sing off key. This is a lovely and also sad writing, and I was touched when I read it. The best to you.

The rain helps make dreams real. It's even better at washing away the pain.
I could hear you singing a little off key, and see you dancing in the street. Enjoyed this very much.

The rain is cleansing and one of the best ways to heal. This was great writing. You made me smile. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing this rich memory, even if only a dream. Picturesque and touching.

How absolutely lovely this poem was. I could feel every thing that happened as if it had happened to me. I love to walk in the rain and I've always thought that was so romantic. Great writing. Kate

In dreams,
Yes, keep your dreams.

In reality,
Never have to be alone,
because dreams, can become real.
