No Regrets Do not regret the day that’s gone Live in this moment’s bliss For life and love are soaring on The whisper of a kiss We can’t erase a given deed We can’t relive the hour Nor can we turn back into seed A bud about to flower Why waste the day on retrospect There’s little time to live The only thing you can expect Is what life has to give The bloom has opened to the skies In unexpected grace Let it dance within your eyes And shine upon your face The moment’s now, the flower’s sweet The fragrance will not last For splendor of this moment’s treat May be your only chance A memory cherished now and then, A dream to wish upon Are healthy for the heart, but then It’s time to move along |

An outstanding message within a powerful writing. I applaud. I will save this as it is so true. We cannot live in yesterday, nor tomorrow. Or should not, is I guess what I mean. Excellent writing! After years of searching, I have found I am nothing more, nothing less...I am in truth Just A Woman after all. |

A beautiful read when a poet's heart waxes philosophically... well done, Lady Santos... |

What's done is done and all must go on. This is a wise write Elizabeth. Like Kipling says......"if you can dream and not make dreams your master....if you can think and not make thoughts your aim" We have to face the wonderful force of the future and not dwell in the past....excellent!! The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |

I seem to be running into this theme often today...perhaps the poetry gods are trying to tell me something. Beautiful and true. |

I think I need to print this one out and put it next to my computer, above the stove, on the mirror, in my closet, across the TV screen and anywhere else it will stick. *G* For all those hours wasted in regrets accomplish nothing and make me regret the wasting. *S* Beautiful work, Elizabeth! |

There’s little time to live The only thing you can expect Is what life has to give" These lines just seemed to grab me. As always you seem to have a grasp on what others are going through in their life. Enjoyed very much. |
