Lord, who sees all,
on this tired Monday
that you know follows
an equally as unbearable
Saturday, Sunday and
week preceding Friday
my request, although
in essence seems selfish,
is quite understandably
simple

Lord, could you please speed up the process?

This poem captures in a simple and original way...in a prayer, the fact that we are all dying...some faster/slower than others. This is a powerful theme beautifully executed!

Don't worry as you get older, time goes a whole lot faster. In fact, I would like it to slow down just a little.

JB K...thank you.....was thinking of making it a series...but now that I see it out there and read your comments, I think it might be content to be solo...lets see what my muse has to say

inot2B...funny you should say that...lol...I didn't feel this way until I got older...course lots of physical pain, and heartache will make anyone feel old

thecraig...I do...my grandson and I well...read my poem The line between straight and curvy...but...well...guess you would have to walk in my shoes to see where this came from.....

Well, heck... I've been trying to do my part, boring you to death with my chatter! LOL. And you still ask for more? *G*

Love this, lady... and understand all too well. But then I look at what I would have missed if some of my prayers had been answered... and hope you're sent peace and strength (and a few more easy days *S*) instead of speed. *S*
