Spring On Parade

~*Marge Tindal*~

Vanilla shafts of sunlight
slice across a cinnamon dawn
The fragrance of morning showers
in dewdrops upon the lawn

Shades of mellow yellow dance
across a tangerine horizon
Buttercups drink it up
as Robin's song is rising

Melody of Spring is sung
in perfect harmony
As Iris peeks from underneath
the budding Maple tree

All is well with Mother Nature
in her fashion of finery
Spring has sprung
A song is sung
This parade
is free
~

I love your colorful description of spring. There is no lovelier spring show than in my own state of Washington. There have been some early participants but the main character show up about the first of April. We have our big worldwide famous tulip tour, hjere in the Skagit Valley. I enjoyed your poem.

Very true Marge and what a wonderful time of year it is. Especially up here in Canada where the snow melts and things start to bud and life crawls out from beneath the white blanket to treat us to the excitement of new growth....great color scheme in this one Marge .........I really enjoyed it very much....take care ethome.......

I've got the crocus vigil on alert... Still waiting... I guess I'm a bit more north than most??... Nice springy sentiments, my friend...

Hi, Marge!
What a invigorating and uplifting read this morning! Beautiful and majestical colors that paint a portrait of spring's long awaited return! Very, very lovely.
Thank you for the inspiration and the smiles to take with me into the new day!

Smiles to you, Martha

Now this is a "feel good" reading that has started my Monday off to a positive beginning. Very well expressed and so very creative. I loved it! Kate
