Little boy dreaming in the first winter snow
Ice castles and dragons all clean and bright
The wind on his cheek is snowdragons breath
The sound in the trees...snowdragons growls
In defense of his castle his weapons he draws
Icicle swords and magic snowball charms
His sled his steed as he rushes forth
To conquer this dragon...this dragon of snow
The battle is fierce...but still he fights on
Growing colder and weaker with each dragon breath
His sword lies in crystal shatters
And he is left with just one magic charm
With the last of his strength
He throws it...and watches...as it sails
Then.......

.........MICHAEL!!!!!!LUNCH!!!!!
Little boy dreaming...

Paula~
How delightful !
What joy in the scheming, dreaming minds of young boys.
You told this so well !

This is great ! You're a typical beautiful mother the way you think! Good writing I really enjoyed this having been a little boy myself one time...ahem....a LONG time ago love to ya ethome

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.

The wonder of childhood, you've captured it completely! I applaud!

After years of searching, I have found I am nothing more, nothing less...I am in truth Just A Woman after all.
