Overcome

please
do not be
so polite to me
just walk on by ~
O say hi
but don't query deep
the why I cry
silent tears

emotions
are too far
forward on the
surface,
like cellophane
over a warm
glass dish
stretching with
the heat
and the urgency
of time,
and held only
by the edges
of the fragile
glass

don't be so kind
lest I unwind,
weeping is not
a beautiful
emotion
when one
is not an
actress

and no,
my thoughts
are not complex
but rampant
and covering
ground so fast
speed laws
are being broken
even in time-
warp sense

scenarios
being
played

dreams that
won't come

nightmares
that will

and yet,

and yet,

when I am
ready,
very ready,
I will need you
to not just walk by
or just say hi
I will need you
to notice the
moment

the moment
that I won't
be overcome,
when and
if I might just
dissolve
in your warm
bear's hug

and hear from
your lips

it will be all right,
all ways,
always

"like cellophane

i'm awed.... truly

this writing is poetry

it's poetry
beyond the realm
of depths of dreams
saturated by seams
between the narrow
edges of display
and oh i wish
the traces of me
had some comment
worthy i could say
