This Pane of Glass (a rewrite of an old poem) The pane I look out from this chair of words echoes the sunlit leaf in dust crusted glitter. The dark shadow sways, a winter glass dancer, an entrancing grace of substance growing leaf of splendor just beyond, greenly gamely plays the wind. You are locked in rhythm yet do not touch, you are separate yet alone. Which is less or more of real in this vision? My heart is touched by both, one is like a blossom the other like a dream In heart this pain of glass is sharp. This love of true and forever can still be free, embrace is such circumference that the heart can’t measure this shadow that touches the crack I left open for expansion in life long quest. Oh shadow, you inhabit my core, add dimension to my vision, you must lay with me in this confusion that opens me to hesitation when all I want is to see. My heart is glass and pain is not diaphanous, its shattering is silent, opening lets all the fragile chambers cry. |

SweetSisterOfMyHeart~ Such beauty through the panes of you - 'This love of true and forever can still be free, embrace is such circumference that the heart can’t measure this shadow that touches the crack I left open for expansion in life long quest.' So touching - so you. *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
