As I walked upon the sands, Seemed all had changed upon these lands, No more Tree's of greenery, Simply barren, my eyes to see, As I stood there in this spot, Seemed all was gone without a blot, How does everything so dreary, When on this journey all was beauty, Time stands still for no man, Shouldn't I love my fellow man, When we are here but for a night, Soon we enter into heaven's light. Sands of time does not stand still, So I'll walk on and make a seal, To lay my mark upon this land, Sing a song of beauty taught, Let the dreams of yesterday, Become the life yet for today. Remember not the barren sands, But of the love and make a stand. |

Very insightful and your last two lines were excellent and tying the poem together. |

Rosebud, I love the message here. You can do anything you set your mind to. Wonderful writing. Lone Wolf Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

thank you Denise, I am not wise but sometimes the heart speaks out, Mysteria, I often think that time goes by much to quickly, and of course the motto is why put off tomorrow what you can do today, which I can tell you I love to procrastinate! Lone Wolf, we all can do anything we set our mind to, but I Think one of the easiest things for me to often is not, mean time how time raises forward. That's where this poem came from. |
