Goodbye Angel Eyes

Sometimes I think women are like angels
but I know it's really not true
because everytime I find myself thinking along these
lines I meet an angel that leaves me sad and blue.

Oh yeah they come on all sweet and nice
and soon I find myself gazing into angel eyes.
Some are even nice enough to take me to heaven
although the closest I've been is halfway.
Then with nary an angel goodbye
they let me go and away they fly.

Suppose I should settle for a woman
with both feet firmly planted on the ground.
So first thing tomorrow I'll start looking around
for an angel that is earthly bound.
Perhaps I can find one without wings and she might stay
at least she won't spread her angel wings and fly away.

*grins* Well, I'm an angel. Like children?!?

I liked the poem!

To hold tomorrow we must first be willing to let go of yesterday.

James, apparently all the angels are here. That is sooooo cute. Anyhow, I liked the poem. Well done, thanks and good luck!
