~*~ I HAD A DREAM ~*~
written by Mysteria

In the stillness of night~
I awoke~
And smiled.
It was a dream~
And I did not want to wake.
I dreamt of wonder.
A world full of hope~
Peace, and brotherhood.
A simple dream for humanity~
There was harmony.
In my dream world~
There were no wars~
No prejudice~
No anger, or hate.
In my dream~
“Love Thy Neighbour”~
Really meant something.
We all lived in a world~
Where hearts and souls~
Rejoiced as one.
Man was not influenced by~
The economy, race~
Creed, or religion.
All hearts were filled~
With compassion~
A feeling of peace~
And the warmth of love.
Time stood still~
When a child spoke~
And we listened.
There was no abuse.
To tears.
Peace was good!

Thank you for reading this poem, I do wish this were not a dream, but should we all do our part, it can be reality.

We have several things in common!! Our name and the philosophy told so beautifully in this poem. When I die, I want 'Imagine' by John Lennon played at my funeral......

Well done!

What a wonderful Hope for humanity, Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece.

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

You've so eloquently captured a dream, which lives in us all...whether we know it or not. Maybe if we all read your poem, once in the morning and once before bed, we would never lose sight of this vision. Wonderful read...inspiring!

Liek this, u know sometimes dreams can become reality

Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning.

Moondust - would not be too hard to make this reality if everyone would try acceptance, and do just one random act of kindness every day...the domino effect of smiles it brings is amazing, as we do it, and have seen the power in a smile or a handshake!
