~*~ PIECES OF A BROKEN HEART ~*~ . by Mysteria There are so many pieces of my heart laid before me, And they strangely all look exactly the same. What happened to our heated words of passion? My heart would mend if I could hear them again. I gave you all I had to give, but it was never enough. You needed more than I could give to know my love was real. The longing of my heart seemed to mean nothing to you, As the layers of your heart, with my love I tried to peel. You were so imperious to my outstretched hand and heart, I reached out to you in the purest of love. Instead you choose to go through life lonely, Hurting, angry, and sad, no faith in God above. I keep trying to find the will or will power to walk away, Needing strength, holding back the tears in my eye. A one-sided love hurts to badly for me to stay, And be lonely in love, and watch the years pass us by. How sad that when you are handed such a gift, You don't want to take it and hold on real tight. A gift from someone who has so long loved you, And held you to her heart and dreams every night. I fell in love with the man that was inside of you. I hope that one-day, this man you will find. And when you do, please remember this. You forced me to walk away, and leave you behind. ~*~A poet is someone who reads more than they write ~*~ |

Perhaps those heated words of passion would serve only as a band-aid for a wound deep and festering. Powerful piece, Mysteria. Thanks for posting. There is a small amount of forced rhyme that weakens the flow, but I think it only occurs once or twice. The message is poignant and powerful. |

Gotta agree with the others this is heart-wrenching, beauiful tho. Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning. |

A sad and painful piece. One sided love is very hard. quote: Powerful lines here.....and I loved them! ~Sheri "The things that come to those that wait may be the things left by those who got there first" |

Hope I am doing this right? I was emailing everyone a thank you note-yikes! I want to thank you all for being so receptive to an newcomer and reading my work. I absolutely love this site, and all of you so far have been just so welcoming, thank you again. NO broken heart here though...on my own for a long time creates a lot of internal happiness somehow. |

Giving up is never easy... but when giving everything isn't enough, your options are pretty limited. *S* This is painfully beautiful! |
