a nonet is a form of poetry in which you start the poem with a 9 syllable line and decrease by one syllable for each line til you end with a one syllable word as the last line here goes  Cars zoom past, sending their owners home I wait for dilly-dally bus Counting syllables, bored still Observe all around me Crickets' symphony Steady lamp-posts Star-less night NO bus?!! thanx all for reading...i actually found this at another poetry web site and decided to give this a try when i was waiting(as patiently as i could) for the never-coming bus.... i had fun with this though...will definitely give this form another attempt sometime |
