This Place Called Passions Ask me what I’ve gleaned from This place called passions I say the spirits every realm Thoughts every hiding place Loves every ride Souls every color or colorless self Magic, myth and memories Felt the sea’s hypnotic pull Shores rhythmic trances Spirits riding waves- Forever bond to wander Of ships that never return Mermaids intoxicating beauty Spell bound sailor- Enticed to the balmy deep Lost loved-one to- Stupidity of a drunk Little boy lost Life time companion found True love or never loved Hatred in full, sorrow at- It’s deepest point Soul in want but fear holds it at bay Experience deaths door- Open and shut Stabbing of Satan, kiss of God To fight a dragon- Claim victory over its lair Sit in magical garden- Listen to fairys tell their tales To spin and dance with lily’s Sway as meadow grass Know whose footsteps are in the sand Who carries me across This forsaken land Fall in love with dreams not mine Understand life’s mysteries- Accept them good or bad Not be afraid of what is yet seen This is some of what I’ve gleaned But the most important thing is The friendships I have gained Through your eyes I have been to the Ends of the earth and back again Depths of the soul and to heavens above It’s the poets that take me there And to all of the places in between My life has been enriched I thank you from the Bottom of my heart.
