Roads
Virginia Salter

transport
connect lives, lies
tie city to country with a clover shaped bow
lace forest to shore
free
govern
trevasse, trespass
heal
sever
their clients
bring the circus
steal sons, daughters
move armies
carry lovers
lead
end

This has a Steinbeck quality to it. Well done.

Thank you all! And, Steinbeck? Wow! He was certainly quite an author. I enjoyed his "Travels With Charley" when he was on the road to experience America. I shall not try to let you turn my head though, but it is such a lovely thought to have one microscopic piece of my writing compared to such a writer.

Virginia, there is much poetry in the philosophy you present here, both in word and idea. Simplistic and brilliant and oh so admirable. Thanks for it.
