The darkness is complete A black velvet softness Am I awake or asleep As I hover in this bliss The quiet is unending The cock will not rise No sound is he sending To awaken our lives I hear the blood flow Through my relaxed veins Don't rush... go slow Forget the passing days So dark I can not breath So quiet I can not feel My thoughts must leave So that I may heal What is the sound of silence Blood flowing, hair growing Mind fog thick and dense The speed of thought slowing Blackness with diamonds The gleem coming through Air moving through lungs An awareness back in you The night once again over The trip made to end God lifted earths cover Light, love, peace to send |

I have noticed quite a growth in your rhyming in the last couple poems ... very well done!! Some find subtlety in strangers some find subtlety alone Your eyes, you see everything my eyes,I see its all together now and I know. ~candlebox~ |

Lovely feel to this one. A couple spelling changes for some homonyms used will increase its strength. Last night darkness was complete here, too. Then, I woke up just before 3:30 and there was this brilliant light streaming in the window. The full moon was reflecting for all it was 'full'y worth. Wow! did it ever wake me up for a couple hours anyway. |

Poeminister, Thank you Brian Beaudry. you are so right about all the gifted poets here. I am still trying. Thank you for the kind words. VAS, you always have helpful hints. And yes the moon is lovely, but I'd rather be asleep and miss the light. |

ME, Wonderful thoughts in this one. I enjoyed it very much. We must first experience the dark in order to recognize the light. Well done. LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

Oh mom....this is fabulous...I've read it three times and will read it more...very calming and soothing as I read...a feeling that is sought after with a hunger here! Beautiful work!!!! I won't say I'm impressed because that would be sending the message that I didn't think that it was in you to write like this....when I know that it was...and can't wait to read what else you have in that heart and pen of yours!!!! Love you~ |

Lone Wolf, so glad you liked this enough to read a comment. Thanks Butterflies, my kid, take all the calming and soothing you need! I wish it could be my arms instead of words. Thank you for being you. Love and hugs, Mom |

NO darkness can ever be complete there is a light whose ember burns Tonight Tomorrow Forever It cannot be extinguished No matter the storm or maelstrom of minds there is Always one light which Always shines More about that later.
