I'm standing here waiting for the music to start Suddenly angels sing, the songs in my heart Without knowing the words, I'm humming along And I've been captured by blessed angel's song My spirit is lifted, song that enraptures my soul At once I am singing, and praising, made whole The angels are singing the songs of my heart I take on the message, in wonder depart The day once so dreary now takes on the sheen Of angel chorus, enclosing me with the dream The promise and destiny given up to mankind Is always awaiting we just, must seek to find I rise up to meet the angel hum, given to me No more am I chained, I am rising and free The angels in wonder come hither to man And offer the celestial song as their plan All who would listen with heart and with soul Know that the angel songs take their own toll The price is your weariness, sorrow and fear So listen, please listen when angels draw near The barrier weakens and spirit is renewed When song of the angels is widely eschewed I've heard the message and want to impart The song of the angels that roams in my heart Those of us who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life.
