For my Grandmother, (that is what she was called as a "flapper") A woman born so long ago She's always there, I love her so. I hold our times together dear a bright spot through my childhood years. Such memories of happy days when going to her house to play. She'd tell me stories of the past she brought to me my dreams to last. I'd sit and swing and listen close those times are some I treasure most. She's always there, through thick and thin, my grandmother, my closest friend. She cooked a famous apple pie and crust with sugar baked inside. She loved to make the sweetest things she knew about the smiles they'd bring. This year she will turn ninety four she's great great Gram to several more. My own sweet grandchild, loved so much we now relive the pasts' warm touch. And when I hug her close to me I tell her what my Gram has seen. Her contributions made to us; the stories come full circle, thus.
