Morning’s the Token
Virginia Salter

morning’s the token
for a new day
a gift for the living
e’er sunny or gray

it’s there for the taking
so seize it right now
drink in all its brightening
to gloom never bow

for gilt-edged lace
trims beginning and end
confidence running’s
a powerful friend

let go of the fear
unknowing may bring
lift hands and voice
thanksgiving to sing

dance well with joy
no matter who sees
then gratitude swelling
in prayer on your knees

VAS~
These thoughts are much too lovely to be sung to that old tune -
They offer a fresh melody to these musical eyes ~

Lovely.

Just by itself is beautiful, imagine with music!

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

Thank you all so much for reading and letting me know how much you enjoyed this one.

Poet deVine I am so horribly curious as to what is coming up, but I guess we're not supposed to know.
