Mirror, Mirror go ahead, look in the mirror don't see what you do for where you see only one there really should be two but when one is undercut the sweetest part is gone cast aside the raw disease and on one's own, get along you did what you had to do they said, "take care of you" you heeded the greatest need fled post-haste with God speed "mirror, mirror on the wall am I still fair, after all? might I stand on my own? even if I am all alone?" the questions you might ask take your sore heart to task feelings once left, unmasked life's blood which once was casked and in the mirror, mirror, on the wall see the light, may it glow in your heart, forever yours, forever bright |

Those mirrors say so much more than what they reflect, don't they. Your poem has poured out a clearer vision. |

go ahead, look in the mirror don't see what you do for where you see only one there really should be two but when one is undercut the sweetest part is gone ==================== "mirror, mirror on the wall am I still fair, after all? might I stand on my own? even if I am all alone?" the questions you might ask take your sore heart to task ===================== and in the mirror, mirror, on the wall see the light, may it glow in your heart, forever yours, forever bright ================= some times we read a poem and it awes us because of structure, cadence, imagery, metaphor, sometimes its the message of the write sometimes it awes us because of what we see of ourselves in it... sometimes its all of the above... in this case, all I need to say is... I wish I had wrote this!!!! awesome indeed Sun. Some find subtlety in strangers some find subtlety alone Your eyes, you see everything my eyes,I see its all together now and I know. ~candlebox~ |

Hi ya, Kari - This is very thought-provoking. I hope it is not written from firsthand events of recent. It's good to be back. [This message has been edited by LngJhnAg (edited 03-06-2001).] |

Hi Sunshine, I am in awe with this one, many a question have I asked and have found reality to be a hard pill to swallow when it stairs back at you especially when you don't like the truth, wonderful poetry here, Love, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. We have to be reminded that He exist!" (Writer Unknown) [This message has been edited by Cerenity (edited 03-08-2001).] |
