The phrase "What have we become, self indulgent people" was taken from a song titled "What have we become" by DCTAlk.

What have we become
Self indulgent people
Seeking things to please
Not stopping to think
Of what might hurt another

It's all for pleasure, for self.

When will we stop
and take a look
At what we've become

Pleasure seeking,
Life destroying
Self-indulgent
Ego driven
people

What have we become?

but I know Who holds the future.

I don't question YOUR existance - GOD

We become visible and those who are real show their light and those who aren't lose their poetry.  I intend to keep my poetry. Thank you for the poem, White DOve.

Very good expression, Rebecca. I suppose too many people don't take that inward look to see how their actions affect others.

Can this question ever be answered while looking the world in the eye with pride and respect?
I hope so

Thank you much angel!

Elizabeth, sometimes I don't want to know either. It's a tough thing to look around this world sometimes.

So very true James, so true. Some just don't care.

Rex, I don't know. Pride is usually what ruins a person my friend.

Thank you all!
