To Feel The Touch

To feel the touch of truth you must take a look inside
Into those places that you really wish you could hide
Peer into your heart and ask the questions you need
Look into your soul, of your answers take good heed
Don’t tell yourself a lie, just face up to what you know
There before you are the answers they’re there on show
The only reason to lie about your feelings being true
Is because you know all the truth as clearly as I now do

To feel the touch of beauty you must open your eyes
It’s there in the butterflies’ wings, in the breath of sighs
It’s carried in the breeze wrapped in a mermaid’s song
You see it in the starlight that gleams all night long
Don’t fool yourself that what you need is just a kiss
Because you know that what you really need is this
The only reason you would lie to yourself about me
Is because you know that love isn’t ever really free

To know the touch of angels you must open your heart
Unless you’re too frightened of seeing this love start
I wouldn’t blame you if you were a little shy of this
It can be scary to feel the wonder wrapped in a kiss
Unless you’re willing to look into the face of my soul
Don’t ask me to give you my heart to become whole
The only reason to lie about how you feel for me
Is because you are scared by loves’ amazing beauty

Excellent! Yes, we must open our senses and listen and learn to be able to feel the touch of truth, the touch of beauty, the touch of love, the touch of life. We all can do it if we can all believe in ourselves! Excellent poem, dear friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
