To whom this may concern: I write this to my friends, Who make my life so great, I write this for the people, Who I will never hate. I hope you all know that replying to me, Mean a lot because you see, Poetry means a lot to me. I now have a question to be answered by all: This question is: If poetry is so great why dont we speak in it or are we speaking in it? |

Good question...I think we do...but not to just anyone...I speak my heart to the ones I love...but not to the girl at the drive up window...I speak my heart here...to others like me who understand the power of the written word...how it can touch your heart in so many different ways...but I dont write like this to my senator...hmmmmm maybe I should... We all have wings...some of us don't know why |

Poetry isn't simply words we write.....it's pieces of our hearts expressed......it's painful lessons life has given us.....it's the pleasure in your lover's kiss......the look of your child while sleeping.......it's missing someone you love....and the ache that brings....it's everyday things, humor, love, compassion, envy, regret, hope, anger and so much more.....it's all around us....life my dear poet.....IS poetry. SEA If I let you into my heart..... will you promise to stay? ~Sue~ |

Extremely interesting discussion going. Whether prose or poes may our words be on the nose. |

good question, I think I tend to write poetically, but not speak it in person. Does this mean we are more free to be ourselves behind a paper, or a "blue page"? I don't know. Sandra |

When we are overwhelmed with emotions such as Love, I think what comes out is pure poetry. Many people say that Jesus spoke in poetic terms. A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes. |

Write on, there is always someone who reads. Tell your tales, speak your mind. And most of all be thee. AT "There is nothing so resilent and fprgiving as a heart that is open. And nothing so stony, impenetrable and closed and cold, as a heart once closed" |
