You must let go when love is wrong, but when it's right you help it to grow strong, when you love someone enough to set them free, you hope that someday their heart might see. To set them free is a gift that you can give, so that they can have the life they chose to live, and you hope they know how much that it means, for you to see them happy, fullfilling their dreams. If their dreams should ever slowly fade away, may they realize the love in your heart will always stay, and if they should end up being scared and alone, that they know in your heart they have a home. Sometimes letting go is the hardest thing to do but when love is true, it someday will return to you. © 3-03-00 dmsmith Enjoy life...this is NOT a dress rehearsal. *s* |

I was simply going to say that Kahlil Gibran would have been so proud of this piece of yours but then I realized that I am proud of you and thankful as well. This comes at such a perfect time for me so Thank you even though it was unintentional, you made my morning. BTW.....this piece of yours is constructed with such wonderful two line rhyme and flows so richly in it's cadence that whether read aloud or silently, it captivates and soothes as it goes along. Beautifully penned. |

Mark, your piece last night set my mind into motion about a period in my life when I also had to let go. I dug this out of my archives. I am glad it was able to put a smile upon your face, and thank you for the wonderful comments you left here today. It also fills me with pride. God Bless and hugs. :} Enjoy life...this is NOT a dress rehearsal. *s* |

Amazingly true! A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes. |

The finest gifts are those from the heart... and there is no gift given with more unselfishness and generosity than letting go of your dreams to wish your love well in theirs... This is beautiful! |
