My Day Part 1 While waiting in the line today, ticket in my hand, I flirted just a tiny bit with an older gentleman. He asked me then, how old I thought he looked to be, to me. I said well (thinking how I hate) these guesses, if wrong I be. Well... maybe you are 68, I said with twinkling eyes. And when he answered 81 I tried to look surprised. I said come on it's your turn, dear how old am I to you? He said with twinkle in his eyes, "Let me think a moment or two. 29", said he to me. I smiled and said you missed. But if you lean in just a bit I'll reward you with a kiss. (Of Course) I asked first if he was a married man, as yet. He smiled that twinkle once again and said, "Oh no, don't fret." So placed a kiss upon his cheek, then both of us did blush as those around kept teasing him, and he then had to rush And let the rest of us inside the gates, to see the show. I'm pretty sure he's bragging still and giving off a glow.... Part 2 I've never really had the luck, I never win at cards. And once I thought I won at love, but all that's now in shards. Today, I had a lovely time a flower show, did see. And at the first stand visited was given something free. He said, "Young ladies, yes, you three take pick of weathervanes." We asked, "You sure?", He said, " Why not" He couldn't be more plain. But we would have to carry them for others there to see. So proudly, off we went our way with smiles on faces three. Now you may think this all made up but I am telling true, this day was made of memories I'm sharing now with you. ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II |

Wynter, sounds like a wonderful day. Hope you had fun, thanks for sharing the memories with those of us who couldn't enjoy such a beautiful day. Enjoy life...this is NOT a dress rehearsal. *s* |

He'll still be bragging a month from now. So glad to know that something this kind and good...really happened. And glad it happened to you. Thanks for letting me share it. |

Wynter - it's nice to see a poem so sweet that you have written. I do have a question for you though. I am 102, "May I have a little kissy poo on the cheek"? hehehe. BC |

I think by now I'm old enough to play this game, it's sweet enough I'll gladly take a kiss from you or could you make it just a few? enjoyed this, Wynter . . . thank you. |

Gentle Spirit wished you could have been there D, I missed last weeks at the Farm Show so thought I would give MD's a try. huggss Hope all is well M J thank you and I really did receive that lawn weathervane (I chose a rabbit) I was fearful if I took too long to choose one another person whould have received my opportunity...It was a wonderfully fun day for a change BC ahhhh, if I had only known you better at the time... Krawdad very sweet, but I really don't know what came over me, except he was so darn cute and we had been talking for over 30 minutes waiting for the opening time..*s....he even told the younger men ( younger than me) who eventually showed up, what they missed and my hue changed many shades of red once again... SEA I am glad to have been able to write something light for a change...although not the greatest write. *s thank you all ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II |
