You were my passion. Every day, I longed to see you. Every minute, I missed you. You were my reason. You were my hope. Now that you're gone, I lost it all. Isn't life cruel? Or is it a game? To love and be loved, then erase it all. My heart won't mend, no matter what others say. I know this love was an obsession. It was too much, even for me. I would have died for you to love me, like I did you. But if one day you fall in love, perhaps you'll understand my love. And for your sake, I wish you well. And I'll remember you, for the rest of my days. Promising, myself never to love like I loved you, ever again. A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes. |

Sad commentary that too many treat life, and love, as a game....when you find the right one, you will know |

Once again...your words speak my days recently. I, too...say never again. (Watch out for Paula's butterflies) |

Never say never my friend. You just have to find the right one. That one will stick by you through anything and their love will never fade. If they leave, then they obviously weren't it. You deserve better! Nice write. LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

Very sad, but can relate, nice one. Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning. |

I shall echo that. Completely. You have a wonderful talent of expressing your thoughts and emotions wonderfully. Clear and concise and strong. I love your writing. "Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm." ~Winston Churchill~ |
