i was having a discussion with a good friend of mine today...this is from where this poem originates  Ponderings I sit by the window today Looking at the deep blue sky For the millionth time in the last few weeks I once again ponder why They say that life is what you make of it That everything happens for a reason Time ticks endlessly by Things change like the passing of a season For the life of me though I don't understand the circumstances of my life as of late I know that we all have a purpose That our lives are controlled by destiny and fate I feel like I'm in a whirlwind With confusion all around Life a bird that has fallen out of it's nest Meeting reality...the hard ground I go about my days best that I know how Drawing strength from everything that happens to me Trying hard not to think of you Thinking I am happy to be free But when you've spent so much time with another Giving so much of your heart It's really hard trying to figure out Just exactly how to make a new start I know my life is guided By a sweet Angel above Also know that I am very lucky To have known and know such love There are so many questions I have Very little answers do I know However I also know with experiences We learn and we grow I think back to when I was a child How much life was easier then About how I use to complain it was so hard I couldn't have been but only ten (lol) Then I think of my life now All the changes that have occurred About all the pain but also happiness That I have endured I look to tomorrow As I look back at that great blue sky Knowing my next step isn't back to the nest It's time to spread my wings...and fly Amy Michelle Kennedy "A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart & can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words." |

Amy dear heart, this is utterly wonderful, as I've said it's like reading starlight, it shines with so much of your heart. Spread those wings Amy love, and if ever you need a breath of wind or a little lift then I will be there for you. Take care love as always this is a truly terrific piece. Everything does happen for a reason, but, it beats me what those reasons are! Wonderful write here, girlie...I enjoyed and related to it a LOT!! -e ~~~~~~ everytime I close my eyes, I see your face, I taste you on my lips... every night I fantasize that I can feel you on my fingertips... |
